As part of my full-stack training, I built Ghib-lix: a React app where users can create accounts, explore Studio Ghibli films, and save favourites. To support it, I developed a REST API with Node.js, MongoDB, and Express, deployed via Heroku.

The project took me from server-side JavaScript and API design to client-side interfaces with React and Bootstrap. Navigating this new world as a designer at heart was a challenge, but it gave me clarity on how databases, APIs, and components fit together. These insights now guide me in making stronger, more grounded UX decisions.
