An artist's duty,
as far as I'm concerned,
is to reflect the times.

As an Asian child of the 90s, my creative journey already began in childhood – growing up with Sailor Moon and other Manga/Anime, I had many colourful impressions to process at a young age.

Until my late teens, I was hooked on drawing manga and further developing my style. As many Mangakas enjoy taking inspiration from other cultures and art epochs, a greater interest in classical, modern and digital art soon began to grow.

In my 20s my friends and I formed an artist collective. We teamed up with promoters and clubs, and combined socially critical, philosophical, interactive art exhibitions with clubbing.

From 2016 to 2019 our expanding creative community was given a lot of space and support to express ourselves as a generation (Gen Y). I am very grateful for this valuable experience of meeting diverse artists to realise meaningful projects and ideas together.

Inspired by the experiences of working with other artists, I felt a growing desire to provide us with an authentic and nurturing ground. We need to join forces in order to grow! I want to give us the place and tools to match with each other, to learn from one another and to realise ideas together.

In my opinion, artists have the opportunity to speak into the culture and evoke change. I believe culture represents the soul of a society. We express and understand ourselves through it, making it important for our growth as a global society.
